Dry needling is a specialized treatment used to relieve muscle pain, reduce tension, and improve movement. It involves inserting a very thin, sterile, single-use needle into specific trigger points or tight bands within a muscle. This helps decrease muscle tightness, improve blood flow, and encourage the body's natural healing response.
Unlike acupuncture, which is based on traditional Chinese medicine, dry needling is rooted in modern anatomy and focuses on treating muscle dysfunction and myofascial trigger points.
Treatment typically takes 10–20 minutes, depending on the area being treated. You may feel a brief muscle twitch or cramping sensation, which is a normal response indicating the targeted muscle has been stimulated. Mild soreness for 24–48 hours afterward is common and usually resolves quickly.
At our office in Longmont Colorado, dry needling is often combined with chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue therapy, rehabilitation exercises, and other evidence-informed treatments to address both the source of pain and the factors contributing to it. Every treatment plan is individualized based on your examination and goals.
Dry Needling Fee: $65 per treatment.

Relief
Dr. Lou is fantastic. I felt immediate relief after he did the adjustment. I feel so much better. I highly recommend Dr. Lou.
In all my years of being a doctor I've learned that many chiropractors are in the business for themselves. Many providers use timelines & sales pitches consisting of a package of 10 or 15 visits. These are probably chiropractors who are in the profession for the wrong reasons.
